This Week's Message

“Unless the Lord builds the house…”

This week bring lots of special services at Saint Mark’s.

Worship for the Festival of the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ will take place:

     Wed, Apr 30 @ 7 PM

     Thu, May 1 @ 8:30 AM & 3:30 PM

Psalm 8, in which God crowns the Son of Man with glory, will serve as the sermon text.

Service for the National Day of Prayer will take place:

     Thu, May 1 @ 12:30 PM

Featured, of course, will be prayers—and especially petitions on behalf of our nation.

Worship for Family Sunday weekend will take place:

     Sat, May 3 @ 6 PM

     Sun, May 4 @ 7:30, 9:00, & 10:45 AM

Psalm 127, in which the Lord builds our households, will serve as the focus of our worship.  (Family Sunday, you’ll recall, usually takes place on Mothers Day weekend.  This year a very early Easter has the Holy Spirit preempting the usual schedule in favor of the celebration of Pentecost.)

Two smaller notes:

Bible Information Class – for membership, or for a review of the Scriptures’ teachings – starts anew this coming Wednesday, May 7, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, downstairs in Room B-2 of the Parish Center.  Please relay invitations to prospects, on Christ’s behalf.

This Wednesday, May 1, is the deadline to order t-shirts connected to our school building project.  They’re a deal, at only $5 each!  However, we’re in need of many more orders.  If you are interested, phone the school office soon.

“…its builders labor in vain.”
